EVENTS

Due to Foot & Mouth disease our original plans of attending a much increased number of exhibitions and shows changed. We had to cancel three of our four Stillwater-based and postpone one river-based Parent & Child Events.

The NOMAD UK PARENT & CHILD GAME FAIR at SPRINGWATER Fishery on June 17th went  ahead. It was a great day with lots of events and there was also other  manufacturers exhibiting , entrance was FREE so, if you are in the area do come along.

Sadly,  the four preliminary events of the NOMAD UK sponsored Scottish National Rivers Championships 2001 have been postponed from April and May to September. A report of last year's two NOMAD UK sponsored events:  2000 NOMADUK NATIONAL RIVERS CHAMPIONSHIP and The PEREGRINE NOMAD UK INTERNATIONAL TEAM CHALLENGE follows after

Having supported The PEREGRINE / NOMAD UK INTERNATIONAL TEAM CHALLENGE for the last two years, and, in doing so supported very professional and gifted anglers with an event, we wanted to do something special for our celebratory year and support children. Unfortunately because of the ravages and restrictions imposed by Foot & Mouth disease we are left with one venue at present, and are very grateful to The management of Springwater Fishery, Dalry by Ayr for his generous hospitality enabling us to arrange this event.

The day will include a competition and instruction events and it is very worthwhile coming and visiting if in the area as a number of other exhibitors are also keen to come and support children and fishing. It is designed to be  FUN !! So,......    see you there.

Each rod is designed to do a specific job but is ‘tweaked’ to give that little bit more whether it be in relation to lines used or quarries sought after giving that much more value for money. On top of this  all rods come in their own protective Rod / Reel bag with room for a fly box enabling everything to be carried together.

Finished in a flash-free black matt, with the best of fittings and cork plus black aluminium reel  seats, the quality of workmanship can be seen in the trueness and seating of each joint plus the outstanding standard of varnishing.

There is a difference in the make-up of the Saltwater and  Freshwater designs with the latter being made up of 50 million modulus plus carbon resulting in an exceptionally light, powerful and very responsive action whilst Saltwater fish and fishing conditions demand a more robust taper, a more powerful butt section and carbon structure for strength and quick loading, plus oversized snake rings
