1). 'NOMAD' 5/8ths RANGER COAT

The 'NOMAD 5/8ths RANGER's' claim to fame is it's unique full width waterproof 'drop down skirt' and in-built tailoring that makes it so unrestricting comfortable and fully protective when seated in a boat.
There is no coat like it and it is not surprising why it won so many British awards in the early 90's.
Made from a durable, tightly woven, Ventflex coated polycotton shell with specially chosen acrylic/wool mix Lindsay Tartan liner, nylon lined sleeves and waterproof nylon drop down skirt. The 'cut' of the 5/8ths Ranger is very important - its all about fishing, stalking or bird-watching in comfort. The coat is designed to take all the weight off one's shoulders, thus releasing tension and restriction, instead placing it on the hips. To illustrate this: the optimum comfort in fishing from a boat comes from lifting the shoulders (thus raising the coat) whilst pulling in the waist cord tight enough so that the coat rests on the hips. In doing so it will be noticed that the bottom of the coat will have risen so that when seated there is no drag through surplus material being caught under one's bottom. The 'drop skirt' when released 'hinges' at this point rather than being trapped and so whether sat down low, or moving one's body back and forth there is neither restriction nor discomfort. This feature is unique to the 5/8ths Ranger which makes it multi-functional and thus ideal for wet weather autumn stalking:

| Cuffs are unique, the inner is adjustable preventing water to enter and the outer will close over gloves, whilst the two act together resulting in an articulated cuff that permits wearer to extend his arm high (such as when 'dibbling' close to the boat in loch style fishing) and still have full protection. |

2). EXPLORER '5/8ths SAFARI' COAT

Made from the same Ventflex coated Meryll nylon as the superlight 'EXPLORER' Wading jackets the 5/8ths SAFARI Coat is equally light and packs away into an internal zippered security pocket leaving a loop by which it can be attached to a belt ready at hand for any inclement weather. Ideal on a Grouse Moor, in a Tropical downpour or simply on an excursion to the hill lochs this is a serious piece of serious kit for the minimalist sportsman which features:

3).'STILLWATER' BOAT & BANK COAT

Introduced in 1998, the 'STILLWATER' range is a totally different approach in design and build in fishing attire being the only double waterproof breathable system available. The outer is a durable Ventflex 'Scarp' nylon and the inner lining a Ventflex coated base nylon. From experience designing canoe wear it was evident from trials that canoers became wet when submerged in single breathable systems yet retained their heat and thus chances of survival longer when wearing a double system due to the fact that relative warm air is trapped between the two breathable layers. They also tended to be dry !! In making these canoe tops it was also found that for a minimal increase in cost of fabrics and time in manufacture we could produce a much longer lasting coat which would give greater value to our customers. So, we decided to apply what we had learnt to our own sports..
At NOMADUK we do listen, and knowing that some of our customers can not abide hoods and that many stillwater anglers - especially competition anglers - wanted to have a coat with the equipment storage qualities of a fly vest we decided to put their wishes into trial in an endeavour to seek the optimum practical solution in overtrousers, chest wader jackets and longer boat and bank coats.
